John S. J. Kozlowsky, 58, of Conneaut Lake, died Friday, March 9, 2001 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born May 25, 1942 in Shenandoah, a son of the late Stanley and Victoria Grimes Koslowsky. He married Joan M. Kostruick August 27, 1966 and she survives.
He was a graduate of Shenandoah Catholic High School and attended Penn State Univeristy, majoring in electrical engineering. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force, serving from 1963 to 1971. He was stationed in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona where he worked as a flight simulator specialist, training F4, F11 and F16 pilots. He subsequently worked for over 28 years as a technical service engineer with the Diebold Corp. servicing Northwest PA. He was a member of the North Shore Boat Club, Linesville, Conneaut Lake Park VFD and the Corvair cars and restoring them, boating, fishing and computers and its related technology.
He was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 34 years, include two daughters, Janine M. Kozlowsky of Conneaut Lake and Janice C. Corner (Daniel) of Conneaut Lake; a son, John A. Kozlowsky (JoAnna) of Seneca; two grandchildren, Maria Corner and John J. Kozlowsky; a step-granddaughter, Macey Corner; a sister, Joan Updegrove of Spring City and three nieces and one nephew.
Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
Interment was in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
