Jon A. Mclaughlin

October 26, 1959 — January 19, 2022

Jon A. McLaughlin, 62 of Stoneboro, passed away on January 19, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital in Erie after 2 months of complications of Covid-19. Jon was born in Grove City on October 26, 1959 to M. Harriett (Jack) McLaughlin and the late James B. McLaughlin.

Jon lived his entire life on the family farm, and enjoyed raising angus beef cattle. He was a 1977 graduate of Lakeview High School where he was very involved in the wrestling program. Jon was employed with Snyder Industries of Kittanning and drove a 100-ton truck in their limestone quarries. Jon was of the protestant faith and grew up in the old Irwin Presbyterian Church.


Jon is survived by his mother, M. Harriett McLaughlin of Stoneboro, brother Jay McLaughlin and companion Lynda of Stoneboro, sister-in-law Karen McLaughlin of Hermitage, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.


In addition to his father Jon was preceded in death by his brother Jan in December of 2021.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 3236 S. Main Street, SANDY LAKE, where family and friends are welcome from 3 pm – 4 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022. A funeral service will follow visitation at 4 pm with the Rev. Willard Morse, officiating.


Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery.
