Jon Robert Stepchuck

Jon Robert Stepchuck, 42 of Akron, OH, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 4, 2011.

He was born in Meadville March 31, 1968 a son of Richard H. Stepchuck and Rynanne Mook Weir.

He graduated from Dansville High School, Dansville, NY in 1986.  He then returned to Meadville and worked for Hydro Group.  He then continued his life journey on the fair and carnival circuit where he was also known as "Popcorn" working for Bush Concessions of Doylestown, OH.  He met the mother of his children, Emmalene Snow and they have two beautiful children, Richard Stepchuck and Mandie Stepchuck at home in Akron.

He is also survived by his mother and step-father, Rynanne and Merle Weir of Meadville; his step-mother, Crystal Gill of Linesville; two brothers, Randall Stepchuck of Linesville and Keith Stepchuck of Linesville; two sisters, Lori A. Greathouse of Linesville and Sandra Lee Stepchuck of Saegertown; a half-sister, Michelle Luther of Hendersonville, TN and Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard H. Stepchuck with whom he was riding when they were involved in a car accident that took his father's life March 22, 2010

Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Cochranton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
