Joni H. Fitzsimmons

Joni H. Hank Fitzsimmons, 57, of Meadville, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Meadville Medical Center following an unexpected illness. She was born September 26, 1958 in Meadville, a daughter of the late John W. and Joan E. Widel Hank. Joni was a 1977 graduate of Meadville High School. She was employed as a manager and audiology specialist for Miracle Ear of Meadville for over 20 years. Joni had attended St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of Vernon Central Fire Hall, Vernon Volunteer Fire Hall, and Saegertown American Legion Post 205. She enjoyed flowers, horseback riding, camp fires, 4-wheeling, and loved animals. Survivors include her fianc John Kralj of Meadville; a son, Duane Eric Fitzsimmons, Jr. of Erie; a brother, Robert W. Woolstrum, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Meadville; a sister, Barbara I. Nageotte and her husband Larry of Meadville; a brother, John W. Hank and his wife Della of Corona, CA; eight nieces and nephews, Wendy Miller (Keith) of Jamestown, Robert Erik Woolstrum of Meadville, Erika Croll of Meadville; Larry Nageotte and his wife Lisa of Davidson, NC, Michael Nageotte and his wife Jeunesse of Meadville, Shawn W. Hank and his wife Jill of Boise, ID, Sandy DeLand and her husband Steve of Seward, AK, and Angel Hank of Long Beach, CA; several great-nieces and great-nephews, and many friends. Calling hours will be Monday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville where the funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with the Rev. Rebecca Patterson, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
