Joseph A. Davis

October 28, 1880 — May 10, 1963

Joseph A. Davis, 82, of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital Friday, May 10, 1963, after an illness of several months.

He was born in Wales October 28, 1880.  He and the former Maysie Weaver were married June 16, 1909.

Mr. Davis was a sheet metal worker.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.  A veteran of the Spanish-American War, he was a member of Walter Wilson Camp, United Spanish War Veterans, and of Harm Jan Huidekoper Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. John L. (Doris) Peterson of Meadville; two sons, Chester W. of Huntington, Long Island, NY and Glenn A. of Clear Lake Park, CA and six grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
