Joseph Dean Slater, 40 of New Lebanon Boro, Sandy Lake, passed away on May 5, 2020. Joe was born on November 7, 1979 to Dean R. and Paula L. “Polly” (Reither) Slater, of New Lebanon Boro, Sandy Lake, they survive. Joe was a 1998 graduate of Lakeview High School. He was an avid baseball fan and loved playing in his younger years. He and his late grandfather would always talk about baseball statistics together and Joe was recently watching re-runs of games since no teams are currently playing. Joe also loved labrador retrievers, especially his late loyal companion, Bart. He was also very fond of Louie, the little dog inherited from his Grandpa Reither. Joe grew up in the Stoneboro Presbyterian Church and was most recently a member of the First Assembly of God in Hermitage. He was very proud of his 2012 Mission Trip to the Philippines with his church, feeling as though he had helped make a difference in the world.
