Joseph E. Bryant

Joseph E. Bryant, 86, of Meadville, died Friday, November 20, 1987, at Meadville Medical Center following an illness of several months.

Mr. Bryant was born in Philadelphia, July 3, 1901.  He married Hazel E. Mills, March 29, 1934.  She survives.

He retired in 1967 from New York State government after seven years as a civil service employee.  He previously had worked for Jack & Heinz Co., Cleveland; General Electric Co., Erie; and Talon, Inc. as an industrial expediter.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include one daughter, Anne V. Furno of Meadville; one son, Gary E. Bryant of Jersey City, NJ; three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Stella) Stemp of Van Nuys, CA, Mrs. Mary Ann Baldinger of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Virginia Tedesco of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, and one son, James C. Bryant.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Venango Cemetery.
