Joseph (Joe) Edward Clancy, 67, of Meadville, passed away peacefully at Cleveland Clinic Pallion Hospice Center surrounded by his family on Friday, August 14, 2015, following a courageous and short three week battle with cancer.
He was born October 16, 1947, in Meadville, a son of Donald Edward and Alma Katherine Clancy. He married Sandra (Sandy) Lee Aylsworth on August 16, 1969.
Joe worked for Hughson Chemical in Saegertown, which later became known as Lord Corporation. He started out in production was promoted to Traffic Manager and then moved to the Erie Corporate offices as Logistics Manager for all of Lord Corporation. He retired in June of 2014.
He was a member of the Erie Traffic Club.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Sandy, of 46 years, include a daughter, Heather and her husband Donald Young of Meadville; two grandchildren; and several other family members.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Robert Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville with a scripture Prayer Service at 6 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville with Fr. Johnathan Schmolt as Celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery.
