Joseph “Tud” C. Ferlin, 59, of Jackson Center, PA, passed away at home surrounded by his beloved family on December, 30, 2024. He was born on September, 4, 1965, to the late Joseph and Regina Ferlin.
Joe was a jack of all trades, he could fix anything and everything. He worked as a laborer for the majority of his life. He enjoyed carpentry, and was a laborer in various factories. He had a big green thumb. He also enjoyed simple outdoors things like mowing and shoveling. Like a true western Pennsylvanian, he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was known for hosting great Steeler’s parties at his ‘Steelers Shack’. Joe was a friendly guy who was very neighborly, his door was always open and he loved to help others. Joe was also the former mayor of Jackson Center, hence his reason to be so neighborly. Above all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandkids.
Joe is survived by his children, Ashley Mathieson of Jackson Center, PA, Amanda (Jared Emmett) of Fredonia, PA, Alyssa (Ian) Young of Mercer, PA, Allison (Jason) Dora of Sandy Lake, PA, and Josh Ferlin of Jackson Center, PA; his grandchildren, Jayleigh Mathieson, Joseph Coursen, Alexander Young, and Lynkin, Jaxon and Nixon Dora; his siblings, Rachel (Mike) Klingensmith of Jackson Center, PA, and Karen Kallister of Stoneboro, PA; as well as his dear niece Christina Barnes and many other nephews, nieces, and cousins. Joe is also survived by his former wife of 40 years, Monica Ferlin.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his sister, Darlene Barnes.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro, PA, 16153.
