Joseph G. Anderson Iii

Joseph G. Anderson, III, 80 of Jackson Center, passed away on August 12, 2022 at AHN Grove City. Joseph was born in Greensburg on June 22, 1942 to the late Joseph G. Anderson, Jr. and Ruth Wells Anderson. He was a graduate of Hempfield High School in Greensburg, PA.

Joseph was a train enthusiast and enjoyed taking many excursion trips with his wife.  He also enjoyed camping at PA and OH state parks with his family. He liked being outdoors enjoying nature and fishing. He was a jack of all trades and was quite the handyman. Most of all he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Joseph married his beloved wife, Edith (Stickel) Anderson on July 19, 1963, she survives at home. The couple recently celebrated 59 years of marriage.

In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his children; Carol (Larry) Kenst of Pittsburgh and Brian (Christina) Anderson of Perkasie, PA, grandchildren; Lauren, John, and Erika Kenst, and Christopher Anderson, twin brother; Jeffrey (Sandy) Anderson, brother; Martin (Mary Jane) Anderson, sister; Patricia (Lawrence) DeGennaro, brother-in-law; William Joseph, sister-in-law; Laurie Anderson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Joseph and brother Edward Anderson.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Stoneboro & Sandy Lake.

A memorial service for Joseph will be announced at a later date.
