Joseph Leo Bradley

Joseph Leo Bradley, 73, of New Castle and formerly of Meadville, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at UPMC Shadyside following a short cancer illness.

He was born December 21, 1947 in Meadville, a son of William C. and Eva Marie Boyd Bradley, Sr.  He married Eleanor Kingen April 21, 1967.

Joe was a 1965 graduate of Meadville High School and attended Edinboro University.  He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1968 to 1970.  Joe was an engineer for Norfolk and Southern Railroad.

He was of the Christian faith and was a member of VFW Post 2006.  He enjoyed carpentry, gardening and especially spending time with his family.  He was “the best of the best.”

Survivors include his loving wife Ellie, two daughters, Judy Harvey (Jim) of New Wilmington and Tawn Bartolomeo (Michael) of New Castle; five grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey, Jacob, Jackson, and Gabriel; two great-grandchildren, Max and Madison; a brother, William Bradley, Jr. of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Bradley and two sisters, Sandra Snyder and Caroleen Emig.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, June 26th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where a Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m.  Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 2006.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
