Joseph Sedor, 85, of Meadville died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.
He was born June 4, 1931 in Erie, PA a son of Michael and Anna Buren Sedor, Sr.
He was a graduate of Edinboro High School and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He worked as a police officer for the City of Meadville in the 1980’s and subsequently work various jobs in the area. He was an excellent golfer.
He is survived by his long-time friend, Patricia Tracy of Meadville; two sons Roger Sedor and his wife Kimberly of Cambridge Springs and Ron Sedor and his wife Leslie of Cochranton and a sister, Betty Artello of Albion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, John Sedor, Michael Sedor, Jr., Frank Sedor and George Sedor and two sisters, Anne Sedor Suray and Mary Ann Carrick
Calling hours will be Saturday from 12-2 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Brumagin, officiating.
Interment with military honors provided by Huidekoper VFW Post #2006 will be in Greendale Cemetery.
