Joseph W. Armburger

Joseph W. Armburger, 85, of Chicago, IL, died Saturday, November 22, 1958, at a Chicago nursing home.

He was born in Wayne Township, Crawford County, PA on July 22, 1873, a son of Jacob and Elizabeth Kebort Armburger.

He spent his early life in the Sugar Lake area, then worked for the old Phoenix Iron Works in Meadville, for Carnegie Steel Co. of Sharon, and for Jones & Laughlin Steel Corp. of Aliquippa.

He lived in Detroit for a while and spent 14 years in Montana.  He went to Chicago in 1928 as chief engineer for Stewart-Warner Corp. and retired in 1940.

Surviving are his widow, Rose and several relatives in central Crawford County.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
