Josephine Heydrick Holman

December 26, 1873 — July 20, 1960

Josephine Stagg Heydrick Holman, 86, widow of the Rev. William Henry Holman, died Wednesday, evening, July 20, 1960, at Overlook Sanitarium, New Wilmington, where she had been a patient for several years.

She was born at Carlton, Mercer County, December 26, 1873, a daughter of Charles William and Mary TenBroeck Heydrick.

For many years, she was librarian at the Pequot Library, Southport, CT.  Her husband, the Rev. Mr. Holman, was pastor of the Congregational Church at Southport.  She returned to Meadville following her death in 1936 and resided with her sister, Mary T. Heydrick, of Meadville.

Mrs. Holman was a member of First Presbyterian Church.  She also was a member of Meadville Garden Club and formerly was active in Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by her sister; a great-nephew, William F. Heydrick, II, of Minneapolis, MN; a stepdaughter, Mrs. George A. Sherwood, of Southport; and a niece, Mrs. Robert C. Libkicher of Redwood City, CA.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
