Joseph (The Nose) Mancuso, 82, of Conneaut Lake, died Friday, December 9, 2016 at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born July 31, 1934 in Girardville, PA and raised in Youngstown, OH, a son of Carl and Victoria DeAngelo Mancuso. He had been married to Karrin Rae Unger.
Joe was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force. While in Korea, he coached the Air Force boxing team.
Joe worked as a supervisor at Republic Steel, Youngstown, OH. He subsequently worked at John Rugala Motors, Andover, OH and at the Park Golf Course, Conneaut Lake.
He was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed life to the fullest, every minute of every day. He loved golfing, skiing, the race track, his cats, eating good Italian food, and telling stories.
Survivors include a sister, Jean Mancuso of Youngstown and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Scarsella and Ann Marie Mancuso and a brother, John Mancuso.
Per Joe’s wishes, cremation has been selected and a celebration of his life will be held the 2nd Saturday in September 2017 when all of his many friends are gathered in Conneaut Lake.
