Julia C. Kinzer, 93, formerly of Sewickley and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since 1979, died Thursday, November 22, 1984, following a lengthy illness.
She was born at Port Royal, KY, June 28, 1891, a daughter of the Rev. George Wythe Crutchfield and Eliza Bell Hall Crutchfield. She married John Marvin Kinzer in 1916.
She served as a kindergarten teacher and spent many years in Christian service on many boards and agencies at local, district and conference levels of the United Methodist Church. She graduated from Greenboro College, Greenboro, NC, from which she received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1981. She was a member of Sewickley United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three dauthers, Mrs. Harold (Julia) Tubbs of Centerville; Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Hamilton of Sewickley and Mrs. William (Alice) Groves of Edinboro; one son, John Marvin Kinzer of Gainesville, FL; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal, VA.
