Julia Durney Wescott

March 16, 1879 — January 1, 1753

Mrs. Julia Durney Wescott, 72, widow of John A. Wescott of Meadville, died at the Crawford County Home Infirmary Thursday after an extended illness.

Mrs. Wescott was born in Greenwood Township, but resided in Meadville for the past 50 years.  Her husband died in 1942.

A member of Geneva Methodist Church and the auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen.

Mrs. Wescott is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Anna Buchanan of Chandler, AZ; three sons, Leon of Greensburg, Norman of Titusville and Walter of Meadville; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Mrs. Lena Shepardson of Conneaut Lake; and three brothers, Lou Durney of Conneaut Lake, Walter of Clark, PA and Lloyd of Rouseville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Geneva Methodist Church Cemetery.
