June Louise Price

June Louise Price, 76, of Newton Falls, OH, died Monday, September 25, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, OH, after an extended illness.

She was born in New Castle, June 22, 1924, a daughter of Ralph and Margaret Gilliand Lucas.  She married Robert D. Price in 1945.  He preceded her in death December 30, 1964.

A 1942 graduate of Newton Falls High School, she worked as manager of Newton Falls Community Center from 1961 to 1968.  In 1986, she retired from the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office, where she worked as a dispatcher for 21 years.

That year, she also received the special service award and citations from the sheriff's office.

An adviser for the Boy Scout Explorer Post of Warren, OH, she was given the Bronze Big Horn award for her work there.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce A. Peirce-Aitken (Bruce) of Meadville and Penny Harris of Warren; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held with Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Newton Falls Cemetery.
