Karen Breckenridge, 64, of 12977 N. Watson Run Road, died at home Tuesday, June 27, 2006.
She was born in Meadville, April 27, 1942 a daughter of the late Myron P. and Helen Haven Breckenridge.
She was a 1960 graduate of Meadville High School, she attended Penn State University and was a 1966 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing.
Following graduation from nursing school she taught at the Spencer Hospital Nursing School until it closed. Subsequently, she worked for Combustion Engineering in Windsor Locks, CT and then worked as plant manager for Cleveland Controls in Michigan City, IN and in Cleveland, retiring in 1995.
Survivors, include: one sister, Anne B. Hall of Conneaut Lake; one brother, David Breckenridge and his wife Susan of Meadville; four nieces and nephews, Robin, Scott, Ryan and Michael and seven great nieces and great nephews.
The memorial service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville with the Rev. Timothy Solomon, Pastor of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery.
