Karen A. (Obagy) Willey

Karen A. Willey, 73, of Meadville and formerly of Guys Mills, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at Meadville Medical Center following a period of declining health.

She was born November 17, 1943 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Albert W. and Mollie M. Popovich Obagy.  She married James R. Willey in 1962 and he survives.

Karen was a graduate of Townville High School.  She worked for her dad at the former L & M Market in Meadville and subsequently as an administrative assistant at Willey and Sons Trucking Company.

Karen was a member and past president of the Western PA Riding and Driving Horse Club.  She was also the past president of the Lyona Cemetery Association.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Jim, include three sons, Ora Willey and his wife Alisa of Meadville, Alan Willey and his wife Kimberly of Meadville, and Rick Willey and his wife Teresa of Townville; five grandchildren, Rachael, Megan, Justin, Taylor, and Eric Willey; two sisters, Evelyn McGowan of Guys Mills and Charlotte Pratt of Guys Mills; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Obagy.

Calling hours will be Monday, September 11th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

The graveside funeral service and interment will be Tuesday, September 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Lyona Cemetery with the Rev. Glen Van Cise, Pastor of Chapmanville Community Church, officiating.
