Karl F. Baxter

June 22, 1889 — January 1, 1753

Karl F. Baxter, 55, of Meadville, a cook with the US Maritime Service, died at City Hospital yesterday after a brief illness.

He was spending a short leave with his wife, Mrs. Ethel Baxter, when he was stricken.  He had spent most of his life in Ripley, NY, and had entered the maritime service last October.

He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Irene and Thelma; two sons, Frederick and Harold; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Diefenbach, Mrs. Madge Mayerhoefer and Mrs. Muriel Hart, all of Erie; and a brother, Ford Baxter of Westfield, NY.

Interment was in Quincy Cemetery.
