Katherine A. Rockmore

Katherine A. Rockmore, 80, of Cambridge Springs, died at the Crawford County Home in Saegertown on Wednesday, October 4, 1989, after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Nebraska City, NE, July 19, 1909, daughter of William and Martha Heise Schminke.  She married David William Rockmore on April 19, 1930.  He preceded her in death on October 14, 1965.

She was employed for 16 years as a nurses' aide at the former San Rosario Nursing Home in Cambridge Springs.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Martha) Nelson of Meadville; two sons, William L. Rockmore of Meadville and R. Michael Rockmore of Cooperstown; one brother, Karl Schminke of Nebraska City; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, David Meurice Rockmore and one granddaughter, Kristen.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Cambridge Springs Lower Cemetery.
