Mrs. Katherine (Kit) Gilmore, 69, of Blooming Valley, widow of Charles G. Gilmore, died Tuesday, October 16, 1984, after an illness lasting several months, at the home of her son, Charles H. Gilmore of Chagrin Falls, OH, where she had resided for the past several months. Mrs. Gilmore was born at Pittsburgh, February 3, 1915, a daughter of Leslie B. and Mittie D. Smith Todd. She married Mr. Gilmore June 25, 1938, and he preceded her in death July 24, 1984. Mrs. Gilmore taught choral music at Saegertown High School from 1962 to 1968, and had been organist and choir director at Blooming Valley United Methodist Church for 22 years. She had been an organist and choir director at Pittsburgh prior to her marriage, and had also taken private piano students while living at Pittsburgh. She was a member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church and a former member of Blooming Valley Borough Council. She was a 1939 graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University. In addition to her son, Charles of Chagrin, OH, she is survived by another son, Kenneth G. Gilmore of Blooming Valley and a brother, Kenneth Todd of Santa Anna, CA.
