Kathern Mae Clark

Kathern Mae Clark, 80, of Meadville, died Tuesday, November 3, 1998 at Meadville Medical Center following a sudden illness.

She was born February 3, 1918 in Meadville, a daughter of the late Delbert and Sarah Brady Gable.  She married Charles E. Clark, October 1, 1936.  He survives.

Mrs. Clark was a homemaker and had previously worked as a cook at the former Huckleberry's Restaurant.  She enjoyed fishing, baby-sitting, spending time with her grandchildren and listening to sporting events.

She was of Protestant Faith.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 62 years, include four daughters, Mrs. Fred (Shirley) Oster, Mrs. Allen (Betty) Gibson, Mrs. Evelyn Chamberlain, and Mrs. Sandra Laver, all of Meadville; two sons, James Clark (Doris) of Meadville and David Clark of Meadville; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret Benak and Annabell Gable, both of Meadville, Ethel Luzier and Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Hargenrater, both of Guys Mills; four brothers, Arthur, Charles, Edward Gable, all of Meadville and Harold Gable of Cochranton; and also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and James Gable and one sister, Esther Gable.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
