Kathleen J. "Cassie" Karwowski

January 23, 1945 — February 18, 2022

Kathleen J. “Cassie” Karwowski, 77, of Sandy Lake, died peacefully on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Greystone Country Estates in Fredonia, PA, where she has resided since 2016.

Born on January 23, 1945 in Pittsburgh; a daughter of the late Joseph J. Arnold and Bernice A. (Rentel) Arnold.

She was a CNA at White Cliff Nursing Home in Greenville, PA for 26 years up until her car accident in 2004. She was a member of the St. Columbkille Roman Catholic Church in Stoneboro where she served as a eucharistic minister for many years.

She loved the outdoors, growing plants where she always had a green thumb, and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Karen Egger and her husband Michael, and Randi L. Myers and her husband Travis; one son, Bernard “Benny” Karwowski and his wife Crystal; three grandchildren, Adam King and his wife Megan, Amanda Karwowski, and Robert King; two step-grandchildren, Tim Egger and his companion Sheri and Greg Egger and his fiancée Sam; four great grandchildren, Araden, Kaley, Clarissa, and Karson; one brother, Robert Arnold; and one sister; Arlene Tegtmeier. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 50 years, Bernard D. “Ben” Karwowski whom she married on April 30, 1966 and who passed away on October 20, 2016; brother, Dale Arnold; and daughter, Rhonda, who passed away shortly after birth.

Per her wishes there will be no public services.

The family would like to thank the staff of Kindred Hospice and Greystone County Estates. Also, a special acknowledgment to the Greystone staff for going above and beyond caring for Kathleen over the years.

Memorial contributions may be made to any local animal shelter of their choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Stoneboro and Sandy Lake.
