Kathleen R. Stutzman

Kathleen R. Stutzman, 90, of Meadville and formerly of Little Cooley, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

She was born August 26, 1932 in Hartly, DE, a daughter of Victor and Minnie Bryant Ross.  She married Philip G. Stutzman January 30, 1954 and he preceded her in death December 4, 1982.

Kathy was a 1950 graduate of Caeser Rodney High School, Camden, DE and a 1953 graduate of Wilmington, DE Memorial Hospital School of Nursing with her Registered Nurse’s Degree.  She worked as a RN at Meadville City Hospital for 49 years, retiring in 2002 from Meadville Medical Center as a nursing supervisor.

A member of Little Cooley United Methodist Church, Kathy volunteered at Meadville Medical Center for many years, was a member of Wilmington Memorial Hospital Alumni Assoc., and enjoyed crocheting and reading.

Survivors include two daughters, Sheree Warren of Magnolia, DE and Sandra Brown (Bryan) of Guys Mills; two grandchildren, Kaitlynn Marie Warren (fiancé Chip Alviedo) and Brittany L. Kellar (Bob); two great-granddaughters, Mila and Ellie and one expected; a brother, Charles Ross (Jeanette) of Nova Scotia; two sisters, Rose Ann Landers (Bobby) of Texas and Nancy Ross of Delaware; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Ross of Delaware and Betty Ross of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son-in-law, Danny Warren; five sisters, Dorothy Myers (Al), Jean Sandish (Ron), Joyce Conners (Ron), Sharon Ross, and Sandra Stump (Charles); and two brothers, Victor Ross and John Ross.

Calling hours will be Saturday, December 3rd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Sam Marchetta, Wesbury Chaplain, officiating.

Interment will be in Kingsley Cemetery.
