Kathryn Elizabeth Hall

March 15, 1918 — February 7, 2007

Kathryn (Kay) Elizabeth Hall, 88, of 17522 Cussewago Road, Meadville passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Rolling Fields Rehabilitation Center.

She was born March 15, 1918 in Meadville a daughter of Arthur and Ruth Thomas Eells.  She had been married to Dee W. Hall.

She worked for many years at Kerr’s Jewelry Store and subsequently worked in the jewelry department at Dahlkempers.

She was a graduate of Meadville High School and was a member of the Meadville Button Club.  She was also a life member of VFW Post 2006 Ladies Auxiliary and Vernon Vol. Fire Dept.  She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles and loved animals, especially cats.

Survivors, include: two sons, Gary Hall and his wife Jane of Erie and Terry Hall and his wife Karen of Wheaton, IL; three daughters, Karen Whalen and her husband Tom of Meadville, Vicki B. Krug and her husband John of Ashtabula, OH and Dee Dee Hall and her fiancé Steve Vickery of Espyville; two grandchildren, Thomas Whalen III and Stephanie Hall Odell and one great grandson, Brendan Hall.  Also John Potts of Meadville

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter and a brother, James Eells.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.  The funeral and committal service will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Aaron Kerr, Pastor of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
