Kathryne V. Randall

Kathryne V. Randall, 95, of Meadville, died Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Wesbury United Methodist Community, following a period of declining health.

She was born in Erie April 4, 1916 a daughter of George J. and Kathryne P. Ewing Hessler.  She married Richard D. Stitle and he preceded her in death.  She subsequently married Harry E. Randall August 25, 1979 and he preceded her in death February 10, 2009.

She was a 1935 graduate of North East High School and attended Youngstown State University.  She retired in 1979 as Head Teller of Merchants Bank & Trust Co. after 21 years of service.  She was the first Meadville woman elected to the American Institute of Banking.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and affiliated with Pine Grove United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Grottoetts.

Survivors, include: a son, Richard D. Stitle and his wife Claudia of Aledo, TX; a daughter, Rebecca L. Brewton and her husband William of Meadville; a brother L. Graydon Hessler of Meadville; three grandchildren, Mark Stitle and his wife Terry, Chris Stitle and Natoscha Rucker and her husband Rico; nine great grandchildren, Kyle, Kory, Larry and Vickie Stitle, Chantelle and Jadan Pitts, Rico and Xavier Rucker and Calvin Murphy, Jr.; one great great granddaughter, Iyanna Cephas and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marion C. Nason and a brother, James Hessler.

The memorial service will be Tuesday, October 25th at 11 a.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville with the Rev. Alice McClymonds, Pastor of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505-5097.
