Keith Robert Friel, 51, of Cochranton, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at his residence following a one-year illness.
He was born November 24, 1954 in Pittsburgh, a son of Robert and Marion Gensler Friel.
He was a 1973 graduate of Hampton High School, Hampton Township. He was self-employed for 20 years as owner and operator of Northern Appalachian Producers, Inc. He previuosly worked at WANOCO and previously owned Yesterday's News, Meadville.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He was a member of Station 3 VFD and the Conneaut Lake Park VFD. A brown belt in Judo, he enjoyed his Dodge Viper, boating, water-skiing, traveling, camping, was a licensed pilot and especially loved his family and friends.
Survivors, include his mother, Marion Friel of Hampton Township; his father, Robert Friel of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters, Shawn Green (James) of McCandless and Colleen O'Toole (Richard) of Hampton Township; two brothers, John Friel of Hampton Township and Robert Friel (Toni) of Pittsburgh; nieces and nephews, Shannon Stonick, Lyndsey Henderson, James and Chad Green, Thomas O'Toole and Robert and Cassidy Friel; a great-niece, Camryn Green and many dear friends.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
