Kenneth J. Yoder, 92, of Meadville passed away peacefully at Wesbury United Methodist Community on March 26, 2020 following a period of declining health.

He was born May 27, 1927 in Akron, New York, a son of David and Emma Yoder.  He married Lois Miller on June 9th, 1951 at Sunnyside Mennonite Church in Conneaut Lake.

In addition to his wife Lois, he is survived by a sister Edna Ruth Kipfer, son David, daughter-in-law Lori, daughter Emma (Debbie) Knapp, grandchildren Stephanie Atkins, Levi Knapp and Adam Knapp and a number of nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Diane Aitken, a brother Maynard and four sisters, Carrie Burkholder, Waneda Wright, Edith Ulrich, and Doris Knechtel.

Ken was a Christian of strong faith and was very active during most of his adult life at Sunnyside Mennonite Church where he taught Sunday School and served as an elder.  He enjoyed gospel music and attended many gospel music events across the country throughout the years.

His enjoyment of interacting with people led to a career in sales where he was employed by Longwood Furnace Corporation and International Correspondence Schools along with a number of local businesses at various times during his life.  He also loved to drive and was employed in later years as a delivery driver for Vantage Health Care and Loeffler’s Flowers.

His many and varied interests included organic gardening, beekeeping, making maple syrup, restoring antique gasoline engines, photography, ham radio, attending auctions, and working with a variety of animals and crops on his hobby farm.  He especially looked forward to attending the Crawford County Fair every year.

Ken lived a long, full life and will be missed by his family and many friends.  An informal memorial service is planned at Sunnyside Church to be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 12981 Foust Rd., Conneaut Lake, PA 16316 or Wesbury United Methodist Community, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, PA 16335.
