Kenneth “Ken” Lee Stallsmith, 61, of Worth Township, Jackson Center, passed away peacefully at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Ken was born on August 20, 1958 to the late Gladys Arlene Stallsmith. After his graduation from Lakeview in 1976, Ken went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Penn State, and later earned his Master’s in Child Counseling from Slippery Rock University. Throughout his working career he was a fireman, and an EMT in Polk County Florida. Most recently he was a Child Counselor at George Jr. Republic in Grove City. Ken enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing. He was an avid Steelers football fan, and he liked to watch Dale Jr in Nascar races. He also enjoyed reading, listening to audiobooks, and country, gospel and old rock music. Ken loved cooking and grilling, as well as woodworking. Ken was a member of the Millbrook Presbyterian Church and was strong in his faith. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. On November 18, 1989 Ken married his beloved wife, Wanda Pearl Snyder, she survives at home. In addition to his wife Ken is survived by his children: Lee Stallsmith, of Dacula, GA, Lori Deter, and husband, Scott, of Dacula, GA, Josiah Stallsmith, of Meadville, PA, Sabrina Stallsmith, and fiancé, Josh Farrell, of Mercer and Jon Stallsmith, of Mercer; his grandchildren: David, T.J., Alayna and Kayden; his Aunt, Bertha Leonard, of Erie, and an Uncle, Ralph Stallsmith, of Franklin. In addition to his mother, Ken was preceded in death by his Step-Father, William Page. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of Stoneboro, 99 Franklin Street where family and friends are welcome on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home following visitation with Pastor Evelyn Beebe, officiating.
