Kenneth L. "Kenny" Dodson

Kenneth L. “Kenny” Dodson, 76 of New Vernon Twp, Stoneboro, passed away on January 11, 2021 at AHN-Grove City. Kenny was born in Greenville on December 21, 1944 to the late Matthew E. Dodson Sr. and Margaret R. (Fuller) Dodson. He attended Lakeview High School and went on to work at Sharon Steel for 30 years as a Blast Furnace Operator, then went to work for JMM Eagle for 14 years until his retirement. Kenny married his beloved wife, Joanne E. (Boney) Dodson on July 11, 1970, she survives at home. Kenny was a member of Emmanuel Christian Church and was very deep in his faith. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed gardening and farming and mowing his grass. He was a socialite and loved visiting with friends and family. Most of all he loved his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife Joanne, Kenny is survived by his daughter, Leanne Thiec and husband Brent of Stoneboro, and son Brad Dodson and wife Laurie of Nashville, OH, grandchildren Cole and Ellison Thiec of Stoneboro, and Malachi, Mackenlie, Carys, and Deacon Dodson of Nashville, OH, sister Deloris Worley and husband Bob of Lititz, PA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim, Matt, Dick, and Donald Dodson, and his nephew Brian Dodson. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Homes, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Thursday, January 14, and 10-11 am Friday January 15, at the Emmanuel Christian Church, 4495 Greenville-Sandy Lake Road, Stoneboro. A funeral service will take place at the church on Friday, January 15, at 11 AM with Brad Dodson and Pastor Tim Clark, officiating.
