Kenneth Wilson, Jr.

Kenneth Wilson Jr., 74, of Meadville died at home surrounded by his family, Saturday, August 4, 2018.

He was born September 18, 1943 in Meadville a son of Kenneth and Regina Greleski Wilson, Sr.  He married Nancy L. Karns June 4, 1966 and she survives.

He was a 1962 graduate of Meadville High School and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving stateside in the US Army from 1962-1965.  Following his military service, he returned to the Meadville area and worked for 37 years for Lord Corp. retiring in 2003.

He was a member of First Christian Church.  He volunteered at the Meadville Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry, R.S.V.P., Angel Food Ministries, Saegertown Release Time and for several years at the Crawford County Fair.  He would also give people rides to Erie and throughout the Crawford County area.  He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by two daughters, Janice McKinney (Scott) of Blooming Valley and Debbie Price (Eddie) of Saegertown; five grandchildren, Victoria Solomon (Joel) of Charlotte, NC, Todd McKinney of Blooming Valley and Haley, Lindsey and Wesley Price all of Saegertown and several extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Ken and Regina Wilson, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Scott Wilson and a sister, Kathryn Anderson.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 7th from 5-7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville and Wednesday, August 8th from 10-11 a.m. at First Christian Church, 503 N. Main Street, Meadville.

The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church with Rev. Jim Gibson, Pastor, officiating.  Military honors will be provided by Huidekoper VFW Post #2006.

Interment will be in Venango Cemetery.
