Kerna G. Wentworth

December 5, 1890 — November 30, 1968

Mrs. Kerna G. Wentworth, 77, of Meadville, died Saturday, November 30, 1968, at Mead Nursing Home where she had been a patient for seven weeks following an extended illness.  She was the widow of Harry L. Wentworth.

Mrs. Wentworth was born in Randolph Township, December 5, 1890, a daughter of William and Sarah Oakes.  She married Wentworth in 1912.  He died in July 1963.

After graduating form Edinboro State Normal School, Mrs. Wentworth taught for a few years in Randolph Schools.

She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, the church Women's Society for Christian Service and City Hospital Aux.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. G. Stewart (Gladys) Hoffman of Meadville; two sons, Gaylord O. and H. Paul, both of Guys Mills; three sisters, Mrs. Rae (Ruth) Byham, Mrs. Floyd (Helen) Smith and Mrs. William (Hazel) Cutshall, all of Guys Mills and eight grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
