Kimberly Kay Clayton, of Greenville, formerly of Sandy Lake, passed away surrounded by Brian and her sisters at UPMC Passavant on April 7, 2024. She was born on November 23, 1959 to Herbert Glenn and Mildred V. Pizer Clayton.
She fought a long hard four-year battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving companion of 37 years, Brian Thompson, of Greenville; her sisters, Jean (Fred) Heckman, Pat (Larry) Reagle, Gloria Joan Clayton, all of Sandy Lake, and Debbie (Kevin) Kelly, of AZ; her step-mother, Faye Cummins, of Jackson Center; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She had a deep love for animals, especially her cats, she also loved horses and scratch off lottery tickets. She was 1978 graduate of Lakeview High School.
She worked in various production places including Wheatland Steel, AK Steel and JM Eagle.
She was a very compassionate person, who never wanted to hurt anyone or their feelings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Glennie, Lewis, Edward and Jack, and her sister, Della.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 12 from 4-6:30 with a memorial service to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made in Kim’s name to Strayhaven Animal Shelter, 94 Donation Road, Greenville, PA 16125.
