Kimberly Sue Peterson

Kimberly Sue Peterson, 17, of 22 N. Forest St., Halifax, PA and formerly of Meadville, died Friday, March 8, 2002 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Harrisburg.

She was born June 3, 1984 in Meadville, a daughter of Walter and Tammy Crawford Peterson, Jr.  She had been engaged to marry Robert Edward Polk who also died in the accident.

She was a senior at Halifax Area High School, Halifax.  She was active in cheerleading and enjoyed sports, especially basketball and football.

Survivors include her father of Halifax; her mother of Meadville; a brother, Walter Peterson, III of Halifax; a sister, Kayla Peterson of Meadville; paternal grandfather, Walter Peterson, Sr. and his wife Marion of Cochranton; paternal grandmother, Sonya Hackett and her husband Bob of Meadville; maternal grandfather, Clarence Crawford and his wife Janet of Guys Mills; maternal grandmother, Barbara Burrows of West Virginia; and cousins, aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral service will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Sandra Butler officiating.

Burial will be in Denny Cemetery.
