Kyle J. Sheets

Kyle J. Sheets, 87, of 23786 W. Oil Creek Road, Meadville died Friday, October 5, 2007 at Golden Living Center, Meadville.

He was born in Dunmore, WV January 29, 1920 a son of Ira and Rella Taylor Sheets.  He married Elsie Kelley July 29, 1934 and she survives.

He worked at Meadville Forging.  He attended East Mead Twp. Public Schools and Meadville High School.  He enjoyed wood working, metal working, hunting, fishing and traveling.  He attended Pine Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Elsie of 63 years, include: three daughters, Susie Hutchinson and her husband Eugene of Corry, Charlotte Cline and her husband Nathan of Oxnard, CA and Lois Hunter of Meadville; two sons, Robert J. Sheets of Meadville and George W. Sheets and his wife Tammy of Spartansburg; a sister, Ollie Mae Hart of Meadville; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Carl L. Sheets; a brother, Wilson Sheets and three sisters, Lucille Schwab, Grace Demeter and Mary Sheets.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Blaine Smith, Aseracare Hospice Chaplain.

Burial will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
