L. Arden Dearborn, 70, of Saegertown, died Thursday, September 17, 1998 at Meadville Medical Center following a period of declining health.
He was born in Saegertown, August 28, 1928 a son of Warren and Ada (Abbey) Dearborn. He married Pauline Ferguson July 17, 1948 and they just celebrated their 50th Anniversary this past July.
Mr. Dearborn worked for 25 years for Abex, Inc. as a machinist and engineer and subsequently worked for Erie Bronze for 4 years in quality control retiring in 1989. He enjoyed gardening and was interested in mechanical things. He was not one to just sit around. He also loved his children and grandchildren.
Survivors in addition to his wife, include two sons, Paul Dearborn (Mary) of Industry, PA and David Dearborn (Debra) of Corry; two sisters, Anna Dearborn of Saegertown and Mildred Walton of Meadville; a brother, Maurice Dearborn of Conneautville; three grandchildren, Shannon Dearborn of Bakersfield, CA, Jennifer Dearborn of Waterford and Adam Dearborn of Industry; two great-grandchildren, Aaron and Heather White of Corry; a great-grandson, James Dearborn and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Penn Line Cemetery.
