L. D. Lawrence

August 8, 1889 — January 1, 1753

L. D. Lawrence, of Meadville, died late Thursday evening at Spencer Hospital following a year's illness.  He was 67.

A son of Chauncy and Augusta Rice Lawrence, he spent his early life in the Conneautville area.  He later moved to Meadville where he lived until a few weeks ago when he went to live with a niece and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Smallenberger of Vernon Township and a brother, Dayton A. Lawrence.

He formerly was employed by the Quaker State Oil Co. and was retired about two years ago.  He was a member of the Meadville Aerie, Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Besides his brother and niece, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Orrin Fletcher of Kansas City, KA.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
