L. Faye Mcclure

December 19, 1927 — August 26, 2013

L. Faye McClure, 85, of Meadville, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Meadville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was born in Meadville December 19, 1927, a daughter of Rush and Nellie Kahler.  She grew up on a small farm near Sugar Lake.  Faye is survived by her husband Thomas McClure; three sons and their wives, Harry (Jane) Patterson, Ellery (Christine) Patterson, and Larry (Tina) Patterson; a daughter, Gale Patterson; grandchildren, Julie and Brian Savage and Addie Patterson; and great-granddaughters, Brittany and Rachel Savage.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Walter and Harry Kahler; and three sisters, Francis Brawley, Lucile Copeland, and Winifred Williams.

In 1973 she married Thomas McClure, whom she loved dearly.  On November 19, 1983, she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  In her congregation, she came to have the nickname of Faithful Faye.

Those who love her, long for the day she will awaken from death in God’s promised new world and this last enemy of death will be no more.  She would want nothing more than to see all of us there to welcome her back!

A memorial service will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 15315 Harmonsburg Rd., Meadville.
