L. G. Peterman, 54, of Crossingville, died at home Thursday, November 25, 1999, after an illness of the past year and a half.
He was born in Meadville, April 30, 1945, a son of William G. and Ava Miller Peterman, Sr. He married Marjorie Hoch December 15, 1965 and she survives.
He was a 1963 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School and had been employed for the past 10 years as a die cast operator for PHB Industries of Fairview. Previously, he had worked for 20 years at Avtex Fibers of Meadvile. He was a US Army veteran having been stationed in Germany. He was a born again Christian and member of Carmel Baptist Church of Mosiertown where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, song leader and choir member. He was also a former member of the Crawford-Erie State Police.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Jill C. Morgan (Thomas) of Meadville; two sons, Brian S. Peterman and Todd M. Peterman, both of Crossingville; his mother, Ava Peterman of Conneautville; four sisters, A. Jean Peterman of Conneautville, Dorothy L. Byham of Meadville, Betty M. Hodge (Douglas) of Jackson Summit, PA and Rachel I. Barr (Rick) of Meadville; two brothers, William G. Peterman, Jr. (June) and David L. Peterman (Linda) of Conneautville; also aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Venango Cemetery.
