L. Kenneth Cleaveland

L. Kenneth Cleaveland, 86, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville, since June 1999, died there Thursday, October 21, 1999 following a period of declining health.

He was born August 26, 1913 in Healdsburg, CA, a son of the late Robert and Ida Tarwater Cleaveland.  He married Bernice L. (Bea) Neumann in 1964.  She preceded in death August 11, 1999.

He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard having served in World War II.  He worked as a stockbroker for Kelly-Clarke Brokerage of San Francisco, CA.  He was a member of the Oregon Fly Fishers Assoc.

Survivors include a stepson, J. Edward Neumann (Jacqueline) of Tucson, AZ; two step-grandchildren, Michael Neumann and Katherine Clark; one step-great-granddaughter; and step-nieces and step-nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Laraine Cleaveland.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
