Laura Austin Sheldon

July 15, 1867 — January 1, 1753

Mrs. Laura Austin Sheldon Inman, 81, of Guys Mills, widow of the late Edward Ray Inman of Franklin, died at Meadville City Hospital Friday morning, after a short illness.  She had resided in Franklin until about five years ago.

Mrs. Inman was the youngest daughter of the late Edward Austin Sheldon, educator and founder of a normal school in Oswego, NY.  She was a graduate of the kindergarten-teaching department in the school which her father founded and taught several years before her marriage.  For more than 30 years, she was organist of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Franklin, of which she was a member.

She is survived by her children, E. Ray Inman of Chicago, Mrs. E. Fred Pashley of Akron, OH, Mrs. Fred J. Ellis of New York City and Mrs. Joseph I. Davis of Richmond Township, with whom she made her home and nine grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Richmond Cemetery.
