Mrs. Laura Delphine Clay Powell, 74, widow of Jefferson Powell, died Tuesday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Fred E. Linton of Meadville, where she had made her home for the past several years.
Mrs. Powell was born and had lived her entire life in the Meadville community. She was employed at Talon, Inc., for a time and was a member of Meadville Gospel Center.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Laurence and Charles, Mrs. Linton and Mrs. Walter Lippert, all of Meadville; a brother, Harrison Clay of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. George Stull of Jamestown, PA and Mrs. Sylvester Wykoff of Meadville; twenty-two grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. A son, Clarence, died June 7, 1930 and a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Triola, died February 22, 1944. Her husband died June 17, 1931.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
