Miss Laura (Lollie) M. Wasson, 75, of Meadville, died Thursday, October 15, 1981, at St. Vincent's Health Center, Erie, after a long illness. She was born in Hayfield Township, September 17, 1906, daughter of H. C. and Maude Staley Wasson. She taught school for 42 years, including 30 years at First District Elementary School. She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church for 61 years, and a member of the church United Methodist Women, Delta Alpha Sunday School Class, the church Wesleyan Circle and Sunset Aux. She was a member of Pennsylvania State Education Assn., National Retired Teachers Assn. and Crawford County Branch of Pennsylvania Retired Public School Teachers Assn. Survivors include one sister, Jennie Peters of Cleveland and a number of nieces and nephews, including Virginia Snyder of Greenville and John Peters and Wayne Dean, both of Meadville.
