Laura S. Davidson

November 11, 1874 — April 30, 1967

Mrs. Laura S. Davidson, 92, who formerly resided with her sister, Mrs. Marjorie Chase, Meadville, died at Bond Nursing Home in Hadley, Sunday, April 30, 1967, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Davidson was born November 11, 1874, at Jamaica, British West Indies, a daughter of George and Emily (Snaith) Dent.  She married Joseph V. Davidson, who died in 1907.

She was employed for 30 years as the housemother at Allegheny Chi Rho social fraternity, Allegheny College, before retiring in 1943.  Mrs. Davidson was a member of Stone Methodist Church.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. F. Harvey (Marjorie) Chase of Meadville; Miss Agnes Davidson of Erie; a sister, Mrs. W. E. DePass of Hamilton, Ont.; one grandchild and two great-granddaughters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
