Lauretta Rabell Kirk

Lauretta Rabell Kirk, 96, of Saegertown, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 8, 1926 in Woodcock Township, a daughter of Ray L. and Hazel Clay Rabell.  She married Elton L. Kirk June 26, 1948 and he preceded her in death March 21, 2011.

Lauretta was a 1944 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School.  She was a homemaker and had worked at Talon for many years.

She was a member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church.  Lauretta enjoyed counted cross stitch, baking, canning, gardening, helping her husband on the farm, and especially loved her family and was very proud of them.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Anne Amy (Alan) of Guys Mills; two sons, Tom Kirk (Susie) of Meadville and Duane Kirk (Cathy) of Saegertown; eight grandchildren, Nathan Hollabaugh (Zenobia), Allison Ferris (Shawn), Erin Wells (Steve), Lisa Wespiser (Bryan), Nicole Straub (David), Mark Kirk (Christen), Scott Kirk, and Laura Blakeslee (Thomas); eleven great-grandchildren, Kieran and Shea Ferris, Patra and Ty Hollabaugh, Ada and Macy Wells, Georgia and Thomas Wespiser, and Evan, Owen, and Amy Kirk; two sisters-in-law, Edith Rabell of Meadville and Charlotte Kirk of Cambridge Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark A. Kirk; four brothers, Melvin, Milton, Norman, and Alton Rabell; and a sister, Dora Louise Rabell.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 26th from 4-7 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 27th at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Alice McClymonds officiating.

Interment will be in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
