Laurie A. Clayton, 50, of Guys Mills died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the Meadville Medical Center.

She was born June 22, 1960 in Niagara Falls, NY a daughter of Samuel and Norma Walters Jacobs.  She married Edward L. Clayton March 10, 1989 and he survives.

She was a graduate of Meadville High School and worked as a Life Skills Coach for Supports, Inc., Meadville.  She enjoyed making Indian dream catchers and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Edward of 22 years, include: two brothers, Timothy Greer and his wife Rose of Harmonsburg and Jason Jacobs and his companion Eliza Copeland of Meadville; four sisters, Edith Snyder of Meadville, Tammy Jacobs and her companion James Leamer of Cochranton, Neoma Mattocks and her husband David of Saegertown and Ginger Burda and her husband Thomas of Meadville; a brother-in-law, Gary Clayton and his wife Melissa of Meadville; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Clayton and her companion Ron Hayden, Jr. of Meadville and Karla Stewart and her companion Rick Crago of Guys Mills; seven nieces, fourteen nephews, four great nieces, nine great nephews and one great great niece.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Florence M. Clayton.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-7:30 at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.  The funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
