Lawrence E. Smith

Lawrence E. Smith, 62, formerly of Meadville, died at his home in Rockledge, FL, Saturday, May 15, 1976, after a sudden illness.

Born in Meadville on April 11, 1914, he was a son of Fred C. and Emalene Walker Smith.  He married Thelma Pardee on October 10, 1935.  She died in 1968.  He later married Marie Pressel.

Mr. Smith was a retired engineer for Sylvania Corp. at Ottawa, OH.  He was a member of Crawford Masonic Lodge 438, Scottish Rite Bodies of Erie and Zem Zem Shrine of Erie.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Marjorie) Shue of York; a son, David of Brazil; a sister, Mrs. Lila Jean Blake of St. Joseph, MI; two brothers, Gerald W. (Jud) Smith of Erie and Neil P. Smith of Lavonia, MI and four grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery.
