Lawrence N. Jones

Lawrence N. Jones, 76, of Guys Mills, died Saturday, October 14, 1972, at Spencer Hospital.

He was born in East Mead Township, October 8, 1896, a son of James and Saloma Glenn Jones.  He married the former Neva Wiltse on January 3, 1917.  He worked at John Morgan Lumber Co., Spartansburg, for a number of years, was a farmer, and worked for the Pennsylvania Highway Department until he retired in 1958.  He was a member of Randolph Township VFD.

Surviving, in addition to his widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Anna Mae) Wolbert of Pittsfield; two sons, Walter L. of Pittsfield and Wayne A. of Guys Mills; two brothers, Homer J. of Cleveland and Arnold of Guys Mills; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Kenneth and James, preceded him in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
